Failed Back Surgery Syndrome

Failed back surgery syndrome describes ongoing back or leg pain after spine surgery. Causes include scar tissue around a nerve, adjacent segment wear, an incompletely treated pain source, or nerve damage that predates the operation. Spinal cord stimulation is one of the more effective options.
